The 8th of March campaign supporting reproductive health

The project called “With a flower in hand against the reproductive problems” supports the “I want a baby” foundation and couples that need medical help conceiving. On the 7th and 8th of March, 2021, Rotaract Bulgaria members made flower stalls in the central meeting points in the cities, asking for a small donation, in exchange for people having the opportunity to get a flower for their partners.
“We turned this project into a campaign, explaining our cause to the people we met—a simple yet powerful way to spread awareness and raise money.
Our campaign followed all of the global pandemic measures that have been applied in Bulgaria to ensure everybody was safe and healthy.
The results were terrific. We had comprehensive media coverage, and a lot of influencers were sharing posts and stories about the campaign. With support from businesses and the funds that we collected from the donations, we raised over 27 000 Bulgarian leva.
With this amount, we will support 12 couples with reproductive problems for medical tests and procedures. After applying, the couples will be selected in a draw in front of a notary. This was we ensure every case is treated equally.”
Rotaract Bulgaria encourages all Rotaractors to consider this issue in society and think about similar initiatives to help communities!
