E.R.I.C. Social Awards 2021 – TOP 5 Twinning Club Awards

Do you miss social projects? We do too! Luckily, this year we had many applications for the E.R.I.C.Social Awards and we would like to share the spotlight on the winners and nominees who got through the final stage!

1. FormidAbili – Mettiamoci in gioco, insieme… senza limiti from Italy – Rotaract Club Districts 2100, 2071, 2120 together with Comitato Italiano Paralimpico & UISP & Rotary District 2071, 2100 & 2120.
 
Purpose: Raise awareness of the issue of disability and sport, through the testimonies of three great Paralympic athletes, to become promoters of a totally inclusive society that guarantees the full participation of every individual.
 
2. “Li Beirut” Socks in support of Lebanese education from France- RAC Paris Denfert & RACT Club de Beyrouth Millenium, D1660 & D2452 together with Lebanese designer Chloe Sleilati & Lebanese startups “Sikasok” & “The smart Lebanese”.
 
Purpose: This joint fundraising project consists of selling customized socks “Li Beirut”/“For Beirut”, made in Lebanon and for Lebanon by supporting both Lebanese education and the Lebanese economy.
 
3. Literacy Program from Italy – RAC Cassino, RAC Ankara Kizilay, RAC of Ege, RAC Esprit from D2430, D2440, D9010 together with Rotary Club of Cassino and Caritas of Cassino.
 
Purpose: Helping foreign children in Italian schools whose lack of knowledge of the Italian language prevented them from being involved in school life.
 
4. Seed Bomb from Turkey – İzmir Ekonomi Rotaract, RAC Nabeul Neapolis, RAC Casa El Fida, RAC Soaring Monks, RAC Medellin, RAC Les Berges Du Lac from D2004, D4271, D3080, D9010 together with Bostanlı Rotary.
 
Purpose: Raise awareness about how forest fires cause damage to nature and animals by helping with afforestation.
 
5. Apiario BeeFriendly from Italy – RAC Bari, together with Rotaract Clubs from D2120 & Il Messape – Officina Didattica in Natura.
 
Purpose: Establishment of a breeding area of the local ecotype honey bee and become one of the qualified principles for the protection of biodiversity.
