Rotary Youth Peace Forum Izmir 2016

The tragic incidents of humanity we are going through recently, remind us how badly we are in need of peace these days. A necessity has been created for individuals that they learn to resolve differences through talking and debating as a part of their cultures. We invite young people between the ages of 18-25 to the 2nd International Youth Peace Forum which will be held again in Izmir between April 16th and 20th, 2016. The theme of the Forum will be “Peacebuilding and Youth”. The RI D-2440 organizes the Forum that aims to bring approx. 150 young people, consisting out of rotaractors in RI D-2440 and non-rotarian foreign or Turkish youngsters together, in order to talk about building peace in the world. This Forum also aims to give Turkish families the opportunity to become more familiar with the importance of international youth power and improve the warm relationship among the participants. The due date for application to 2nd International Youth Peace Forum in Izmir has been declared as 21st of March, 2016. The language of the Forum will be English and no translators will be provided. The participants are expected to have fluency in English for efficient communication. We kindly request all the foreign participants to buy their flight tickets only after receiving the confirmation from the organization committee. We accept the pre-registration applications only through the sponsor Rotary Clubs so every participant should supply a contact from his/her sponsor club. All the participants will be accompanied by their host families during transfers from/to the airport or bus station. No fees for inbound participants from other countries will be charged for their stay in Izmir. We only request the travel expenses to be covered by the sponsor Rotary Clubs.
