This is the European Rotaract Information Centre (ERIC), the official Multi-District Information Organisation (MDIO) for Rotaract in Europe. Supported by Rotary International, we unite districts, clubs, and Rotaractors to share knowledge, build friendships, and collaborate on international projects. Through events, partnerships, and shared initiatives, ERIC strengthens the voice of Rotaract across Europe and beyond.

The Big-Bang

Rotaractors from across Europe meet during a Rotary CIP meeting and realise something is missing: a unified space to connect, share, and grow together. The idea for a European Rotaract community is born.

Now

We celebrate three and a half decades of connecting, empowering, and inspiring young people across Europe. From a simple idea to a continent-wide network, ERIC remains the heart of European Rotaract.

ERIC’s Purpose

At its heart, ERIC exists to bring Rotaractors from all over Europe together. Our mission is simple: build friendships, share knowledge, and create opportunities that cross borders.

By working as one, we:

  • Foster international friendships by bringing together young changemakers from over 40 countries
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Rotaract districts, clubs, and members across borders
  • Share knowledge and resources to strengthen Rotaract’s presence and potential throughout Europe
  • Join forces on projects with global impact
  • Join forces on projects with global impact
  • Strengthen the bond between Rotaract and Rotary International

How does ERIC work?

Rotaract Europe is run by young volunteers who collaborate across borders to keep our community thriving. Here is how we stay connected and make things happen.

Country Representatives (CRs)

Each ERIC member country is represented by a Country Representative (CR)β€”the link between local Rotaract districts and the wider European community. CRs speak on behalf of their country, vote on key matters, and help drive ERIC’s initiatives forward.

The ERIC Board

Every year, a new board is elected by the CRs to lead ERIC. The board coordinates projects, events, communication, partnerships, and supports the community throughout the year.

Day-to-Day Collaboration

Most of our work happens online, through regular meetings, working groups, and shared platforms. This keeps us agile and allows us to collaborate across time zones and borders.

In-Person Gatherings

Three times a year, we come together to learn, vote, celebrate, and strengthen our network.

  • REM Fall β€” Regional Meeting in September/October
  • REM Winter β€” Regional Meeting in January
  • EUCO β€” The European Convention in May/June

These events are open to Rotaractors across Europe and are the beating heart of our community spirit.
