In the last weeks, the homepages of Facebook were full of shocking images that left the sign. The consequences of the no-stop raining were extreme for the landscape of the Bellunese area and made it unrecognizable. Its woods have entirely been demolished by the fury of the wind and by the rain that also caused the flooding of many courses of water.

Our District, stricken in his heart, could not do anything and so a collaboration was born among Rotary, Rotaract and Interact in order to be able to make the difference and help economically the stricken zone: #PerBelluno.

The project, born as a harvest funds to help the zone struck by the weather, consists in the sale of local honey produced by a consortium of apiarists who operate with a nomadic philosophy, allowing so the production of a huge variety of honeys which were recognized as DOP. The choice of the honey, a typical product of the area, is not causal and it wants to give a small help to the locals. But this product represents a symbol of industriousness and rebirth. The bee, in fact, is a fundamental animal for the survival and the equilibrium of the ecosystems and with this small pot we want to help the environment devastated by the weather.

The net of friendship and rotarian values has allowed immediately to activate this project and to concretize their own proximity for the territory devastated by the rain. Through the socials, the initiative has become viral and the hashtag #PerBelluno is anywhere, in every dashboards and in every occasion: the salessterted the last week end on the occasion of the SIRDE, a moment in which all the RRD and RRDI have been able to buy the pots of honey. They were almost sold out!

Do you want to contribute too? Contact us to the address segreteria2018-2019 @rotaract2060.it and purchases your pot of honey!

The embarrassment of the choice reverts on four tastes: from the definite taste of the chestnut tree or intense of the tiglio to that sweet of the acacia and delicate of the millefiori. Whatever both your preference, your jar will be made even more sweet knowing to have given a small contribution to Belluno to rise again.
