Rotaract Club of SAOE, D3131, suggested a project, which has the aim of having a training as a group of women in any subject.

We, as Rotaract Club of Ankara Kavaklıdere, immediately thought about our previous project, “Keçeden”. 3 years ago, we helped 30 women to have an occupation, to take a 1 year-long training on wet felting. Wet felting is one of our cultural arts, which includes wetting some special wool and turning it into fabric by hand. No machine is used in this process. Very hard, and very beautiful art. 3 years ago, we helped those women who were in need, to have an occupation; because they wanted to work but they did not have that oppotunity. And we built them an atelier with our own hands to make them continue their work in there.

Now, after 3 years, they gave us training about wet felting in that atelier, because they are that good and improved. This was very meaningful to us, to be at a place that you built, to have a training from someone that you helped before.

At the end, we went home with fabrics that we made with our own hands, which were nothing but wools just in that morning.
