Project name: Giving Our Hearts to Those Who Need It the Most

Project Description: We provided much needed personal necessity supplies to Gottsegen György Orszagos Cardiac Hospital. These supplies were distributed to patients who were homeless, did not have any families or well not well off. Since the hospital is a public hospital it accepts all patients. However, the government had recently reduced funding to the hospital so they had problems taking care of all patients. That is why we decided to help the patients who needed the most aid in a small way. We received sponsorship from Tesco Supermarket chain who gave us the supplies free of charge. We had also planned to meet the patients and have our members play Turkish songs on our instruments. Initially the hospital accepted but a few days before our trip they decided not to allow us because they thought it would create a health risk both for us and the patients. However, Dr. Németh József insured us that our aid would be very helpful. He gave us a speech on the history of hospital and cardiac treatment history in Hungary. We then shared contact information with the doctor so that he would get in touch with us in the future if he ever needed our help again.
