The presidents and several board members of most Rotaract Clubs in the Austrian North/East region (Vienna & Lower Austria) gathered for a meeting in late September to start fully motivated and well organized into the new Rotaract Club-Year. The District Board under the leadership of Multi-District Representative Elisabeth Krassnigg and Assistant-Representative Christina Brunbauer had called this meeting with the purpose of a better connection between the regional clubs and the possibility to learn from each other’s success or problems. With the attendance of 12 Rotaract Clubs more than 85% of the region’s clubs were present and we could work on several districtwide project ideas together: For instance, our planned Awareness Month for Climate & Environment in April took more and more shape through the detailed definition of projects within the clubs as well as on district level. Throughout the evening, challenges of individual clubs could also be addressed and discussed on a wide basis of experiences in other clubs. All in all, the meeting provided the perfect possibility to enhance the cooperation between clubs and increase friendship and social commitment in the Austrian Rotaract community.
