From 13 – 15 April our annual MultiDistrict Presidential Conference (MDPC) took place in Vienna with more than 150 participants from the counties of our districts, Austria and Bosnia, and also some Rotaractors from abroad.

We had a three day program, which started on Friday with a city tour and a get-together in the evening at a traditional Austrian “Heuriger”, where all the Austrians wore Dirndl and Lederhosen to let the guests feel the Austrian spirit. Saturday was the main conference day which started with some speeches from the current and incoming Rotary Governors from our districts and the president of our districs Rotary Youth Service. Then we were updated on our various programs in the districts, like RFPD or our charity run Ich Helfe Laufend and the MD board members reported what they have been working on for the past year. The afternoon plenum was only mandatory for presidents as it included manly voting procedures for the next MD Board and the District Grants for the best social project in our MD. Other club members or guest could take part in the alternative program in the meantime. They could choose from either visiting a brewery, going to Schönbrunn palace, the summer residence of our former emperors, or baking muffins and cookies at the Ronald McDonald House for severely ill kids. In the evening we ended this well organized and fruitful conference with a beautiful Gala Dinner.
