Continuing from their successful event with the “Na Paluchu” animal shelter, Warsaw Rotaract Club decided to help the animals yet again! “We have teamed up with local hotels which had an excess of bed sheets and materials that were no longer used for the guests and were permanently stained or destroyed to a point where they would no longer be appropriate for donation to people in need” explains Rafał Tondera, the President of the Club. “However, these fabrics can still work great as insulation for animal cages and this year we have quite a harsh winter in Poland”. Warsaw Rotaract Club has contacted Novotel Warszawa Centrum and managed to successfully source bed sheets, curtains, and similar fabrics which were then used as liners and insulation in the “Schronisko Dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Józefowie” animal shelter in Józefów, near Warsaw. Having noticed how eager the hotels are to participate in similar actions, we have decided to continue getting in touch with them during our next initiatives.
