Over 400 potential bone marrow donors registered

Every hour in Poland somebody is diagnosed with blood cancer. For many of them the only chance to recover is the transplantation of bone marrow or stem cells from unrelated donors, however, it’s very difficult to find a suitable donor. Therefore, Polish Rotaract Clubs united for World Rotaract Week doing one common project – Donor Drive. In cooperation with DKMS Foundation, we managed to register over 400 potential bone marrow donors!!! Our events were organized in shopping malls and supermarkets and we were all provided with appropriate training prior to the event. We hope to continue it in the future in order to save as many lives as possible.
