December is always a busy month – Christmas keeps us all engaged in many projects and we want to do our best because this time of the year has a very special meaning to many people. It’s a tradition that both Wrocław Rotaract Clubs get together and organize a St. Nicholas event at a special purpose school and education centre in Wrocław. Saint Nicholas managed to find time to join us and give them sweet gifts. We also bought some school supplies for them, which they extremely needed. However, what brought us all the greatest joy was painting kids’ faces and decorating Christmas ornaments which were later hung on their Christmas tree. We would like to thank our sponsoring Rotary Club, who helped us a lot with this project.
What is more, for the sixteenth time we were part of a unique event called All Nations’ Christmas Eve. This year over 60 exchange students who spend their exchange year in Poland came to Wrocław to celebrate this special time with us. They were able to do some sightseeing, visit a Christmas market and, most importantly, share Christmas spirit with all of the people who came. They met a lot of Polish Christmas traditions, danced to Polish folk music and sang “We Are The World” together.
