Rotaract Split Novi and crew from SplickaScena joined their forces once more and did a great job again! Motivated by their last very successful cooperation on a charity stand-up evening project ,,Smile is coming back to town” in December 2017, which resulted in renovation of a building of children’s home ,,Maestral” in Split, they decided to repeat it, this time for the youngest proteges of the Center for nurture and education ,,Slava Raškaj – Split”. On 11 of December 2018 at popular pub Plan B Split, more than 100 people enjoyed their tasty burgers listening to a hilarious jokes of an amazing comedians from SplickaScena. With donations in the form of purchasing a ticket (which included dinner and a stand-up show) in the amount of 100 HRK, in only one night they managed to collect over 10.000,00 HRK (1500 EUR) for buying needed educational/entarteinment/didactical equipment. Since all the tickets were sold out in only few days and many people still wanted to help and participate somehow, Rotaract Split Novi members, headed by Stjepan – an academic sculptor, made an art workshop with children from Center ,,Slava Raškaj”, on which workshop they were making various Christmas tree decorations. Those unique handmade decorations were able for purchase for a symbolic donation on a Christmas tree at Plan B Split. Citizens of Split recognized and supported their efforts again – together they brought smile back to town and ensured quality education to those unique children. Looks like it will become a traditional December event in Split, so we advise you to already mark your calendars for an upcoming December and prepare yourself for a wonderful night in Split full of smiles and good vibes! 🙂
